1. Who we are

Thryve is a product of Thryve Technologies, owned by Ritesh Soni HUF (Karta: Ritesh Soni), based in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. We provide a complete business management and growth platform for Indian boutiques, fashion retail stores, and salons — covering customer records, billing, AI-powered marketing, and more. 2. What data we collect

We collect data in three ways:

Data you provide directly

  • Account information: name, email address, phone number, business name
  • Business data: customer records, billing, orders, measurements
  • Photos and media you upload for AI processing

Data from connected accounts (with your permission)

  • Instagram Business account: profile information, media, insights, and the ability to publish content on your behalf
  • Google Business Profile: business information, posts, reviews, and the ability to update your profile on your behalf
  • WhatsApp Business (via official API): your business phone number and the ability to send automated follow-up messages to your customers on your behalf

Data collected automatically

  • Browser type, device type, operating system
  • Pages visited, time spent, clicks (for product improvement only)
  • IP address and general location (city-level)

3. Google API data — Limited Use disclosure

Thryve's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Specifically, when you connect your Google Business Profile to Thryve:

  • We request only the permissions necessary to read and update your Google Business Profile
  • We use Google data solely to post updates and respond to reviews on your behalf
  • We do not use Google data to serve advertising
  • We do not share your Google data with any third party except as required to deliver the service
  • We do not allow humans to read your Google data unless you explicitly request support, or we are required to do so for security or legal compliance
  • We do not use, transfer, or analyse data obtained from Google APIs to train, retrain, or fine-tune any artificial intelligence or machine learning models
  • You can revoke our access at any time from your Google Account → Security → Third-party apps with account access

4. Instagram and Meta data

When you connect your Instagram Business account, Thryve requests the following permissions via Instagram's OAuth flow:

  • We do not sell your Instagram data to any third party
  • We do not use your Instagram data for advertising purposes
  • You can disconnect your Instagram account at any time from Thryve settings, or by removing Thryve from Instagram → Settings → Security → Apps and Websites

5. How we use your data

  • To provide Thryve services (AI content generation, scheduling, posting)
  • To send you notifications relevant to your business (customer alerts, exhibition alerts)
  • To improve our AI models using anonymised, aggregated platform usage data only (explicitly excluding any data retrieved via Google APIs or any other third-party platform APIs)
  • To comply with legal obligations under Indian law

We do not sell your personal data, your customers' data, or your business data to any third party.

6. Data storage and security

Your data is stored on secured servers. We use TLS encryption for data in transit and AES-256 encryption for sensitive data at rest. Access to user data is restricted to authorised personnel only and is logged. We do not transfer your data outside India except as required to deliver integrations (e.g., Instagram and Google API calls are made to Meta's and Google's servers respectively).

7. Data retention

  • Account data is retained while your account is active
  • Upon account deletion, data is permanently removed within 30 days
  • Instagram and Google access tokens are deleted immediately upon disconnection
  • Anonymised usage statistics may be retained indefinitely

8. Your rights

  • Request a copy of the data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your account and all associated data
  • Disconnect Instagram or Google access at any time
  • Opt out of marketing communications

9. Cookies and analytics

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We also use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use our website (pages visited, time spent, general location). Google Analytics data is used solely for product improvement and is not used for advertising targeting. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels. You can opt out of Google Analytics by using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
